The Christmas Party was held on December 10th at the ICC in Canton. It went very well and a good time was had by all. Santa paid a surprise visit and the children were very entertained.

We are looking into dates in the Spring 2018 for another volunteer event at the Greater Boston Food Bank.

The 2018 Leitrim Guardian is available. If you would like to purchase one, please contact Cathy Mawn at 617-549-3230. Copies must be pre-ordered and will not be available for sale at upcoming functions. The magazine is $25 per issue and will be mailed directly to your home.This is the 50th year of publication, it is a worthy cause to support as it is a pride of the county.

Members need to renew their membership for 2018 for the Society. Dues remain the same- $20 per family and $10 per individual member. Download your form via the membershp page.

The next meeting will be held at the Adams Corner Cafe and Butcher Shop, 782 Adams Street, Dorchester, MA. on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend and most of us arrive early for dinner! We’d like to thank the Adams Corner Café for the generous use of the back room for our meetings. They have been gracious hosts and the food is outstanding! You can have an Irish breakfast(with homemade Irish sausage) for dinner!!

Following the untimely death of our longtime friend and member Patrick Murphy, the society have made a donation to assist Patrick’s wife and children by donating to a fund setup for their benefit. If anybody would like to contribute a personal donation you may do so by submitting it to

The Irish Music Club of Greater Boston is having their dance at the Viking Club, 410 Quincy Ave., Braintree on April 1st.  There will be a special Mass held at the club prior to the dance. Mass starts at 6:30 PM.

The next meeting will be held at the Adams Corner Café and Butcher Shop, 782 Adams Street Dorchester MA on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 7:30PM. Meeting start times have been moved up 30 minutes as the restaurant is closing at 9 PM.

We have ordered the plaque in recognition of Tom Concannon’s generosity for donating the raffle barrel. It will be attached to the barrel as a tribute.

The annual Christmas party was a success!  There was a lovely meal of turkey and salmon  with Chicken fingers for the children. Santa paid a surprise visit as well!

The Society will be having a Mass at the ICC in memory of all past members. The 2nd Annual Memorial Mass will be at 11 AM, Sunday, January 8th, 2017.
